Steve H. Weingart has been a practicing Electrical Engineer for more than 25 years, and is a long time contributor to the computer security development community. He joined IBM's Thomas J. Watson Research Center in 1982, and in 1983 began working in the areas of tamper resistant and tamper responding security packaging, cryptographic and secure processor hardware design, and cryptographic protocols. Steve was the lead engineer of the development team for the IBM 4758, the first cryptographic module to be validated at FIPS 140-1 Level 4.
Steve was an invited member of the panel that NIST convened to write the FIPS 140-1 standard, and he continues to provide valuable input as a contributor to the upcoming FIPS 140-3 standard. Steve has authored or co-authored ten published academic papers, has 11 issued patents (and more in process). He has spoken on security subjects at many professional venues including Cambridge University.

Patrice W. Weingart joined the computer field 7 years ago after a successful career in medicine and managment. She has provided computer services, training and support for the Boca Raton Public Library, and now brings her professional and educational skills to Gulfstream Technologies.
