Household NetworkingIt's getting very common for there to be two or more computers in a household... And that's where networking and Internet sharing come in. Once you have a household network, many things that were once difficult, now become easy. Only one good color printer in the house? No problem. Forget copying documents to floppies (which you can never find when you need them anyway), forget printer cable switchboxes, or worse, dragging a printer from room to room. With networking set up between your machines, one printer, fax, scanner, etc; can all be shared between all of the computers in your household.
With a household network, you can share your Internet connection. If you have DSL, cable, or even dial-up Internet access, everybody in your house can share one connection. Simultaneously. You won't need to decide who can be on the 'Net, everybody can be. You won't need extra accounts, everybody can share the same one. (Well, you may each want individual e-mail accounts, but those are available either for free or at a minimal charge.) In a few hours, we can connect your machines together and set up Internet sharing. There are other benefits as well. When the shared connection is set up, a piece of hardware called a router/firewall gets installed. Firewalls help to protect your computers from potential attacks coming from the Internet. We can set up your computers with wired or wireless networking. With wireless networking you can surf the 'Net on your laptop while sitting by the pool. If you want to spread your work out on the dining room table and still be connected to the Internet, to your office, or to the printer; it's all there for you to use... Call us for an estimate today. It will probably cost less, and do more for you and your household, than you think it will.
